James R. Koch Marriage and Family Counselor James Koch is a licensed marriage and family counselor in private practice, specializing in parent-adolescent relationships, single adult relationships, and multi-generational family therapy as well as familial influences on addictions including alcoholism and sexual abuse and dysfunction. Mr. Koch received his MA in Marriage and Family Counseling from Azusa Pacific University and a BA in Psychology from California State University, Los Angeles. He began his work with adolescents in 1982, working in four different communities near Los Angeles, California during a ten year period. Through these experiences he became keenly away of their relational struggles and the impact that family backgrounds have on lifestyle choices. He has served on the therapeutic staff of the in-patient and acute-care psyhiatric unites of a a major San Francisco Bay Area hospital and taught graduate-level course for a number of years at Azusa Pacific University in Southern California. |  |
